What we do
Since 1975, dozens of volunteers at Peninsula Toys have refurbished many thousands of toys, games, dolls and bicycles, for reuse by the numerous children's charities that we support, both here in Australia and overseas.
Many wonderfully people, and some toy shops, generously donate toys that our specialist volunteers refurbish to ensure they are both safe and in as new a condition as possible.
​Once the toys and bicycles are refurbished, we invite members of the charities we support, to select what they think will bring the greatest joy to the children they look after. Many of these charities are based in Sydney, but some are located in the country, interstate, and in some cases, overseas.

Other benefits of what we do
Not only are we proud that our toys get reused by those who may not be able to afford them, but our work means that items do not end up as land fill.
We also collect parts we cannot reuse such as batteries and metal, and give these to recyclers.
Of course, we wouldn't operate if it was not for the magnificent support we get from our army of volunteers, and it is great to see what satisfaction they get out of the great work they do. If you would like to help us out please check out our Volunteers page.
